What is Para-Them?
Para-Them is a software solution for paranormal investigators to remotely view in realtime, temperature changes in different locations at an investigation. Using USB thermometers, you are able to connect to the software at your command center to view the realtime tempertures.

USB is limited to 5 meters you say, how can you overcome this? Simple, using USB over ethernet converters. These converters allow you to run an ethernet cable up to 150 ft. back to your command center.

The software currently supports up to 9 thermometers, with support for more to be added soon. It allows you to specify an alert based on a change in temperature over a specified amount of time. Temperatures are charted over the course of time and can be recorded to a CSV formatted file. In addition alerts are color coded: blue for a temperature decrease and red for a temperature increase. In addition, audible alerts can be used, playing an alert sound when a temperature alert occurs.

The software also displays the current temperature with the current date and time, as well as the maximum, minimum and average temperatures for the thermometer.

Investigators can be monitoring the temperatures and when an alert occurs, send a team to the location to investigate the area.

This is currently the first version of software available, but I do not have a "Help" document created yet. The software depends upon the .NET framework 4.0 RC. A newer version of the software will be available utilizing the offical release of the .NET framework 4.0
